1)What are pink diamonds? A special type of diamond. Colored diamonds contain impurities or structural defects that cause the coloration. A diamond's color can either detract from or enhance its value. For example, most white diamonds are discounted in price as more yellow hue is detectable, while intense pink or blue diamonds (such as the Hope Diamond) can be dramatically more valuable. While pure or nearly-pure diamonds are transparent and colorless.

2) What about the different color of other diamonds?

Yellow diamonds occur more frequently in nature than pinks, so they are less expensive. They are white diamonds with such a high degree of yellow in them that the stone is declared a fancy.
